I had a fairly fun, relaxing summer. I had lots more shifts at work and other events - some good, some bad. Heres a dropdown of more details about my summer.
With all the forest fires Ontario got over the summer, one stood out to me the most. My family has a camp out on Lac Des Mille - we've had that camp for almost 15 years
Sometime in the middle of July there was a huge forest fire in the area and everyone had to evacuate. All of the camps along the shore of ours burnt down. I believe my camp got the worst of the fire than the others because absolutely nothing survived on our property.
My family also owns a camp on Sunnyside beach but it is a much smaller property so we don't go out there as much as we did the other one. Since the situation our other camp, we went to Sunnyside instead this summer.
There, I went kayaking with my family. In particular my Aunt, my aunt and uncle came to Thunder Bay this summer to visit from Edmonton.
I am big soccer fan, I watched it and played it growing up. It is always fun to watch the world cup seeing the best players in the world compete as it is also only every four years.
I found it exciting how far Canada was getting in the World Cup esspecially for a country not known for soccer. I watched the matches with mostly friends and sometimes family.
